A Big (and little) Part, to a Big Whole

This documentary, filled with breathtaking visuals, explores the inter-connectivity of the world. The film does a fantastic job of striking curiosity in the viewers mind as it relates to the bigger picture of planet earth, how we sustain ourselves as humans, how we came to be, and what the future holds. The intriguing perspective brought to life by the film is that the future is in many ways, in the hands of humans. We are the apex creature in charge for now, and problems like climate change clearly rest in our hands. Will humans come together in love to create a harmonious world that no longer leads with a  “wolves” mind when it comes to the consumption of the environment? 

Everything in the world is energy. Energy that begins somewhere, ends somewhere, and is ultimately recycled back into the system. Too often then not, humans think of themselves as apart from the universe. In reality, we are merely a part of the whole, in a distinct position as it relates to other species, because we can stop and think about our position. Perhaps this is no mistake at all. Perhaps we are the catalyst for change the universe chose to work through all along. The future should hold the answer.
